This was my 5th Tour de Pink and there will be so many more to come! I was part of the 2016 Inaugural Tour De Pink South ride. That ride was truly amazing even if it was tough. Many riders think, “Florida, easy,” however it was far from easy. On one day there were wind speeds up to 35mph that made climbing tall bridges especially hard. Much of the route was on flat roads for many miles so I had to remind myself to get up out of the saddle to stretch my muscles. Flat roads may not seem hard on your body, but it is!
Even after I say all of this, this ride was one of my favorites! The scenery was beautiful as we rode along the oceanfront for endless miles. The food and accommodations were 5 stars and I can’t wait to do it again in 2017. Meeting new friends and survivors were a few of my favorite memories that I will cherish for a lifetime.
200 miles took me to my happy, pink bubble!
